New AED Installed at the Tri-Lakes Senior Center
An Automatic External Defibrillator (AED ) is a lightweight, battery-operated, portable device that checks the hearts’ ryythm and sends a shock to the heart to restore a normal rhythm. The device is used to help people having sudden cardiac arrest. If needed, the electrodes deliver the shock.
We are pleased to announce that the Tri-Lakes Women’s Club (TLWC) was able to provide funding for the purchase of this life-saving device totaling over $1,200 and has been installed in the hallway of the Senior Center.
The TLWC has continued to be an outstanding supporter of our Senior Center, area senior citizens, and the local community non-profits. Some of their many improvements to the Senior Center include; new bookcases, computers, exercise equipment, kitchen cabinets, carpeting, wooden flooring, and much more. Their generosity and compassion towards our organization is greatly appreciated.
