MVEA Supports Our Local Senior Citizens

Tri-Lakes Silver Alliance was recently awarded a $5,000 grant by the Operation Round Up program, sponsored by Mountain View Electric Association. The Operation Round Up program was formed to assist nonprofit organizations, communities with special needs, and individuals who have suffered from loss, personal disaster or medical emergencies.

At the beginning of October, the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce made a very generous donation of $1,000 to the Tri-Lakes Silver Alliance for the Tri-Lakes Senior Center programs and general usage. For the past several years, the Chamber has hosted the best beer fest in the Tri-Lakes area.

First Annual Halloween Party a Huge Success!

On Friday, October 28th, the Tri-Lakes Senior Center hosted its very first Halloween party with close to 40 guests attending this spooktacular event. Raggedy Ann, Jack Sparrow, Santa, Minnie Mouse, Plain and Peanut M&M’s and the Queen of Hearts were among many of the terrific costumes at the party.

Residence Vacation Check

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will conduct vacation checks of homes in El Paso County for residents who are on vacation. This is a great way to add security to your home when you’re away for multiple days. Either a deputy or trained volunteer will visit your home while you’re away and check it periodically.
